The house

The summer house was built in 1934 on a foundation of red granite split by hand on the island; above it, the timber is painted the same red it has always been. The guest house of glass and black timber was added in 2019 on the north side, low enough that it cannot be seen from the water.

The setting

The island is 4.2 hectares of rock, pine and blueberry heath in the outer archipelago, forty minutes by boat from the mainland quay. The jetty takes deep-draught boats. Beyond the outer skerries there is nothing but the open Baltic.

How it is shown

The island is reached only by water. Our Stockholm office hosts viewings from May to September, with the crossing arranged from the mainland quay and a whole day on the island.
